Why Noupe.com is Loading So Much Faster?
You’ve probably noticed it: Noupe.com loads pretty fast. If you tried to visit Noupe in the past, you should have noticed how slowly the pages were loading and on different occasions the server was down. After dealing with different hosting companies since I started out Noupe, i have found that the quality of hosting could build or break your reputation.
Now, i am getting many comments here on Noupe from you guys telling me the site is loading much faster than before and some of you started asking what happened!
My answer would be: a great web hosting company + W3 Total Cache Plugin
Finding the Right Host
A great Web hosting company is defined by how it responds to your needs during the time of crisis. That’s when i got an email from Nick Nelson, Global Commercial Director at UK2 Group, letting me know about one of their brands AN Hosting and how it could help us in our situation.
I’ve been hosting with them for a month now, and so far I’m really impressed. I’ve found that being able to work with a top-notch team at AN Hosting is a huge relief.
AN Hosting has won numerous hosting awards for customer service and support. That’s why their admins and support team are intelligent and patient, I’ve never seen a migration handled as smoothly as they did.
So, if you’re wondering about which hosting package to go for, here’s the answer: go for AN Hosting and enjoy getting more for less.
W3 Total Cache WordPress Plugin (W3TC)
Two weeks ago I heard about a new WordPress caching plugin called W3 Total Cache from Nick Nelson, who told me that it can literally do magic.
The plugin caches/compresses/minifies feeds, CSS, JS and also caches your database objects. It’s typical to find sites that took ~6-8s to load loading in ~3s after the plugin is fully configured.
In essence, anything that can be automated to squeeze out every bit of server performance and minimize bandwidth utilization has been done, leaving your readers with an optimized user experience.
Below are some of the features this plugin offers:
- Transparent content delivery network (CDN) integration with Media Library, theme files and WordPress core
- - Caching of pages / posts in memory or on disk
- - Caching of (minified) CSS and JavaScript in memory, on disk or on CDN
- - Caching of database objects in memory
- - Caching of RSS (comments, page and site) feeds in memory or on disk
- - Caching of search results pages (i.e. URIs with query string variables) in memory or on disk
- - Minification of posts / pages and RSS feeds
- - Minification (concatenation and white space removal) of inline, external or 3rd party JavaScript / CSS with automated updates
- - Complete header management including Etags
- - JavaScript embedding group and location management
- - Import post attachments directly into the Media Library (and CDN)
I hope you guys found the answer to your question in this post- Why Noupe.com loads pretty fast these days.
